After being released by the Carolina Panthers recently, former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson has reportedly already found a new NFL home.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Robinson will remain in the NFC South next season, as the former Tide standout has reportedly signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Per Rapoport, Robinson’s deal with Tampa Bay is for one-year, $10 million fully guaranteed.
The 10-year NFL veteran is coming off two seasons in Carolina that were among the best of his professional career. This past season, Robinson started 16-of-17 games played for the Panthers where he had 65 total tackles, three TFL, 2.5 sacks, three pass defenses, and one fumble recovery.
Robinson, a former 2016 second round pick out of Alabama, now joins a Tampa Bay defense where he is expected to play a significant role in 2026 alongside others such as former Crimson Tide edge rusher Chris Braswell.
