The Arizona Cardinals signed former Atlanta Falcons offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson on Day 2 of NFL free agency. The 31-year-old spent the last two seasons in Atlanta, serving as backup in 2024 before replacing an injured Kaleb McGary in 2025.

Wilkinson started all 17 games for the Falcons at right tackle last season and mostly held his own. He previously played for the Cardinals in 2023, appearing in 10 games and making nine starts. Wilkinson has a chance to start at right tackle for the Cardinals again in 2026.

The versatile offensive lineman will join former Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier in Arizona. Allgeier signed a two-year, $12.25 million contract with the Cardinals and could potentially start for the team next season as well.

The former fifth-round pick rushed for 1,000 yards during his rookie season but lost his job to Bijan Robinson in 2023. Allgeier continued to produce as a powerful complement to Robinson. He should be eager to prove he can carry the load as the lead running back.

The Falcons have signed one backup offensive lineman thus far, adding versatile guard/center Corey Levin to a reported one-year deal. The team has yet to sign a replacement for Allgeier at running back, but the draft is also an option as well.
