After a horrible year, it was clear that Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns needed to overhaul the offensive line in NFL free agency if they wanted to win more games in 2026 than they did last year.

It’s hard to build an elite offensive line in free agency because elite guys that don’t have some question marks just don’t become available often in a league that just doesn’t have enough good offensive line talent. However, you can raise the floor and get your line around league average, which would be a significant improvement after last year.

How the Browns rebuilt their OL in NFL free agency

Zion Johnson is the most notable signing because he’s going to help the team reestablish the run game, and he’s shown steady improvement and has the athleticism and traits to be developed into a great guard. The Browns paid him as if he were someone they thought could become great.

Tytus Howard and Elgton Jenkins are solid veterans who bring a ton of stability and flexibility by playing multiple positions, and they are both improvements over what was run out there last year.

We talk about all these additions and more in our latest Browns podcast, and you can check that out by clicking here.
