The Panthers found a way to bring back 17 game starter Nick Scott to his home.

Nick Scott became a free agent following a career year on Ejiro Evero’s defense. The Panthers went into the off-season with a need at safety as a result. Luckily, like left tackle yesterday, the Panthers managed to address that need by bringing the uncrowned defensive captain home. And this writer would argue its a steal of a contract.

With the re-signing, the Panthers at least have both of their 2025 starters at safety back, meaning they do not have to draft one early if the draft board doesn’t fall the way they want it to. They could still stand to add one in the Draft, but the elite communicator of the secondary is back where he belongs. He will continue to excel as a special teams ace who can play in the secondary when needed. The Carolina Panthers are a better team with Ejiro Evero’s man in the secondary. Keep Pounding, everyone!
