After spending the past three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, the team is likely to trade quarterback Will Levis before the 2026 regular season begins. The Titans brought in seasoned veteran quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to support Cam Ward, so it looks like new head coach Robert Saleh is shaping the offense his way, which makes it awkward to determine what role Levis has. Selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, the former Penn State and Kentucky product started his career as the third-string quarterback behind former starter Ryan Tannehill and backup Malik Willis. Following the departure of Tannehill and Willis, Levis was named the starter after a spectacular end to his rookie year, hauling in 1,808 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions in nine games and starts.
Unfortunately, the quarterback wasn’t able to get back to his rhythm, taking the team to 1-4 before being sidelined with an injury, where Mason Rudolph took over. Before taking Ward in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Titans GM Mike Borgonzi was confident that Levis could recapture some magic. However, this looks to be Ward’s team, and with Levis in the final year of his rookie contract, teams have been reaching out to Tennessee on his availability.

Rebuilding Titans “Shopping” Will Levis; 3 Possible Suitors
While there are other quarterback options still available on the market like Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco, they’re all too old. Levis is still 26-years-old and has plenty in the tank to be a capable starter for at least the next seven to eight seasons. The young quarterback isn’t going to make an immediate change to a team’s offense, but if he’s given the right looks, he could thrive well with these three teams.
Possible Fits
Pittsburgh Steelers
Unrestricted free agent Aaron Rodgers is leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers in limbo as the veteran hasn’t decided on what he will do next. Either way, the Steelers can’t be playing the waiting game again, as they did last offseason. Head Coach Mike McCarthy should assume that Will Howard and Mason Rudolph will battle it out for the starting role, with them expected to draft a quarterback. Rodgers has been linked to the Cardinals, too, so it would be rough if the Steelers waited for nothing.
If the Steelers don’t want to wait for a rookie quarterback, they could trade for Levis, who needs a second chance and could use a fresh start to turn into a potential gem for this offense.
Los Angeles Rams
Veteran Matthew Stafford is returning, but it will likely be his last season in the NFL. The Rams are rumored to sign a veteran quarterback before the season or draft one next month. If anyone can get Levis in the right mindset, it’s head coach Sean McVay. He can turn anything into gold, and an example of that has been Jimmy Garoppolo and Stetson Bennett in situational moments.
This doesn’t mean that Levis will start, but it will allow McVay to dissect what’s next for this offense.
Miami Dolphins
Meanwhile, the Dolphins are rebuilding a new offense led by Malik Willis and Jeff Hafley. After releasing Tua Tagovailoa, the team will need a true seasoned quarterback to help Willis. Levis is no veteran, but given that the two spent time in Tennessee, it would make sense to reunite them to work together again.
