According to recent reports, the Raiders are telling teams across the league that Crosby won’t be traded after attempting to trade him to the Baltimore Ravens. The trade wasn’t finalized, as Croby failed his physical.
There were still questions on whether the Raiders would trade him, but according to Mike Florio, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be getting moved.
“The Raiders are currently telling teams that defensive end Maxx Crosby won’t be traded, in the aftermath of the failed effort to ship him to the Ravens for a pair of first-round picks,” Florio wrote.
The situation surrounding Crosby has created plenty of speculation about his future in Las Vegas. At one point, there was something in place with a trade that would’ve ended his time in Las Vegas.

However, the Raiders’ stance now seems firm following the end of those talks. More so, Florio added that the Raiders never wanted to truly trade him.
“The Raiders, we’re told, never wanted to trade him. He wanted out.”
Crosby’s relationship with the team had reportedly been strained at times during the process, which made a lot of this make sense. However, according to Florio, he’s content with Vegas.
“Now that he’s back and has publicly recommitted to the Raiders, he’s staying put.”
Crosby has been one of the best defensive players in the NFL in recent seasons. For the Raiders, keeping their defensive star in place should be a major step toward competing eventually.
