The Arizona Cardinals appear to be moving on from receiver Greg Dortch. After adding Kendrick Bourne in free agency, they are reportedly adding a player who will take Dortch’s old role as kick and punt returner.
According to Jordan Schultz, the Cardinals are signing two-time Pro Bowl returner Devin Duvernay to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million.
Duvernay played for the Chicago Bears last season.
For his career, he has averaged 25.4 yards per kickoff return and has taken two back for touchdowns. He has also averaged 11.8 yards per punt return in his career. Last season for the Bears, he averaged 11.0 yards per punt return and 26.7 per kick return.
He will turn 29 years old in September. He played a career-low 40 offensive snaps in 2025. He played over 600 in two seasons for the Baltimore Ravens in 2021-2022.
