The Arizona Cardinals continue to add depth to their defensive line in free agency. They announced the signing of veteran defensive lineman Andrew Billings, the third new defensive line addition in free agency this offseason. He gets a one-year contract.
Billings is 31 years old and has been in the NFL since 2016 when he was a fourth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals. He has played for the Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and, for the last three seasons, the Chicago Bears.
He is 6-1 and 340 pounds.
Last season, he played 511 defensive snaps in all 17 games for the Bears, making 14 starts, and had 31 total tackles, a sack, six tackles for loss and five quarterback hits.
Offseason defensive line moves
Billings is the Cardinals’ third new signing in free agency on the defensive line, joining Roy Lopez on a two-year contract, and Jonah Williams on a one-year deal. They also re-signed L.J. Collier for the fourth straight offseason to a one-year deal.
