THE Kansas City Chiefs could have a very different looking offense in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.

Thanks to some new signings and one major injury, the Chiefs have a lineup that is changed from last year.

Currently, Patrick Mahomes is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered at the end of the 2025 NFL season.

To make sure they are covered in case he isn’t ready for Week 1, the Chiefs traded for Justin Fields from the New York Jets.

Fields only played nine games last season, but passed for seven touchdowns with just one interception.

He has five years of NFL experience that should be valuable for the Chiefs.

Fields will take over from Mahomes if needed, but will primarily serve as the team’s backup quarterback.

The Chiefs also made a splash in free agency by signing running back Kenneth Walker.

Walker was the Super Bowl MVP this season will now be the lead back for the Chiefs.

He rushed for 1,027 yards with five touchdowns last season.

Alongside those two new faces is the same crew from last year.

Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Travis Kelce are all returning to the Chiefs for another run at the Super Bowl.

Deep threat Tyquan Thornton is also back with the team on a two-year deal.

Once Mahomes is fully healthy, the Chiefs should be just as scary as they were in their Super Bowl-winning seasons.
