COLUMBIA — Spring practices are wrapping up this week for Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers.

However, there is excitement for the Mizzou football program off the field and on the recruiting trail.

The Tigers landed two notable in-state commits on the offensive side of the ball Tuesday as a part of their 2027 recruiting class.

Jack Brown, a four-star tight end from St. Charles, is the top-ranked player in the state and the No. 6-ranked tight end nationally for the 2027 class.

Brown chose Missouri over Kansas State, Illinois and Arizona State.

The other class of 2027 pass catcher heading to Columbia is wide receiver Chris Harris Jr.

Harris Jr. is from Lee’s Summit and is the No. 5-ranked player in Missouri.

He chose the Tigers over Alabama, Kansas State and Oklahoma State.

These commitments leave Missouri with the 19th-ranked class in the nation and the fifth-best class in the SEC for 2027.
