Will the Arizona Cardinals select a quarterback in the 2026 NFL draft? After releasing Kyler Murray and signing Gardner Minshew, their options are either Minshew or Jacoby Brissett to start in 2026. Brissett went 1-11 in 12 starts last season and is 20-45 as a starter in his career.

Together, they are 37-75 as starters, so it would not come as a surprise if they drafted one.

The name they have been connected to is Alabama’s Ty Simpson.

In fact, the Cardinals are the favorites to draft him, according to DraftKings, via FOX Sports.

Which team will draft QB Ty Simpson?

The Cardinals are the current favorites at +150 (bet $100 to win $150).

The Cardinals would be unlikely to select Simpson with the third overall pick. They could take him No. 34 overall in the second round, or they could trade back into the first round to do it.

With odds looking like this right now, it suggests that there is some real consideration from the Cardinals. Of course, this can change in a heartbeat, but whispers and chatter are lining up.

Their quarterback situation looks like they could draft a guy. There are reports they like him. It is something to watch out for.

This past season for Alabama, Simpson threw for 3,567 yards, 28 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
