There have been some interesting developments for the Tennessee Titans at wide receiver during NFL free agency. The worst-kept secret was the Titans’ interest in Wan’Dale Robison. They officially reunited Robinson with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll by signing the wideout to a foyr-year, $70 million contract.

Then came the decision to retain Calvin Ridley. The aging receiver was an expected offseason cap casualty. Instead, Ridley agreed to a pay cut that effectively only costs the Titans’ two extra million to keep him versus release him (his reduced salary carries a $15 million cap charge, when $13 million would have been left in dead money by cutting him).

So now the Titans have Robinson, Ridley, Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, and Bryce Oliver on the offseason roster. Those are five 53-man-roster worthy players at the position. Holdovers like Mason Kinsey and Xavier Restrepo will also compete in training camp.

It’ll be interesting to monitor how the Titans approach the wide receiver position in the 2026 NFL Draft. As constructed, the room has some upside. Robinson could be a high-volume weapon in Daboll’s offense. The Titans hope Ayomanor and Dike will keep developing.

The room still clearly lacks a legitimate No. 1 receiver, and pairing Cam Ward with that sort of game-changing weapon should be the eventual goal. Ridley is also a 31-year-old wideout coming off a serious season-ending injury. He was in a drought even before being ruled out.

The Titans probably aren’t going to draft a receiver at No. 4 overall. There isn’t a prospect worth justifying that investment. But it should firmly remain in play, along with a handful of other positions (EDGE, offensive line), at No. 35 overall if the board falls correctly.

What if KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, or Omar Cooper Jr. is on the board? Are Chris Brazzell, Ted Hurst, Malachi Fields, Bryce Lance, or Ja’Kobi Lane options at 66th overall or later? The Titans could use more size and physicality at the position, because Ridley, Robinson, and Dike aren’t those types of wideouts. Someone like Boston, Brazzell, or Hurst would especially fit nicely.
