The Miami Dolphins made one of the most surprising moves of the offseason on Tuesday, as they sent wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and a draft pick in a trade to the Denver Broncos for a package of picks.
That move signals even more how committed Miami is to this rebuild with new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley at the helm.
With Waddle’s departure, the Dolphins don’t exactly have a stacked room of wide receivers for Malik Willis to throw to in 2026. Let’s take a look at the group.
Malik Washington
The 2024 sixth-round pick out of Virginia has caught 72 passes for 540 yards and three touchdowns in 31 games over his two years with the Dolphins. He’s projected to be the team’s top wideout in 2026.

Miami just signed the Super Bowl champion to a deal last week. In his five years with the Los Angeles Rams, Atwell appeared in 64 games and caught 105 passes for 1,535 yards and five scores.
Jalen Tolbert
The 2022 third-round pick out of South Alabama spent the last four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys cand caught 91 passes for 1,093 yards and 10 touchdowns in 55 games. He signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins this offseason.
Tahj Washington
Pick No. 241 overall in the 2024 draft, Washington has spent the last two seasons with the Dolphins after a collegiate career split between Memphis and USC. He missed his entire rookie year on injured reserve and returned in 2025 to catching three passes for 37 yards in six games.
Theo Wease Jr.
Miami signed Wease an undrafted free agent out of Missouri last year, and he appeared in three games, caching six passes for 139 yards and a touchdown as a rookie.
Terrace Marshall Jr.
Marshall was a national champion at LSU before the Carolina Panthers took him in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. However, he flamed out quickly in Carolina, and has been with the San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles over the last two years. He’s appeared in 43 games since entering the NFL and has 67 receptions for 808 yards and one touchdown.
AJ Henning
The 24-year-old played at Michigan at Northwestern before signing with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2025. He spent the entire year on the team’s practice squad and was suspended for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy in December.
