T.Y. Hilton is an ex-football player.

The longtime former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver officially announced his retirement on Wednesday. The 36-year-old Hilton last played in 2022.

“After an incredible journey, it’s time for me to retire from the game of football and begin a new chapter,” Hilton wrote in a graphic posted to social media. “Thank you to Mr. Irsay, his family and the entire Colts organization for believing in a kid from Miami and giving me the opportunity to live out my dream wearing the horseshoe.”

A native of Miami Springs, FL, Hilton was originally selected with the 92nd overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft out of FIU. He went on to play 10 seasons with the Colts and reached the 1,000-yards receiving mark on five occasions. A four-time Pro Bowler, Hilton led the NFL in receiving in 2016 with 1,448. He finished his career with three games as a member of the Dallas Cowboys in 2022.

Hilton finishes his career with 638 receptions for 9,812 yards and 53 touchdowns.
