Ladies and gentlemen, the alpha dog has officially arrived.
The New York Jets’ latest production on the media communications side of the business features the team’s newest players arriving at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. Demario Davis, along with many of his new teammates, is featured in a “behind the scenes, first 24 hours” video.
Davis, 37, signed a two-year, $22 million deal ($15 in guarantees) with the Jets shortly after the 2026 free-agency period commenced earlier this month. The Jets originally drafted the veteran MIKE in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft, so this entrance could be classified as a bit of a homecoming.
Special teams coordinator Chris Banjo, a teammate of Davis’s while playing for the 2018 New Orleans Saints, and trade acquisition T’Vondre Sweat, were among the first to greet Davis.
Shortly after the Banjo encounter, Davis intently backed away with a maniacal smile on his face while stating, “You know what time it is.”
Dylan Parham revealed that he’s a big food person, Kingsley Enagbare brought his little one with him, and Dane Belton got the party started at the crack of dawn (rolling up 6:45 a.m. ET).
Other new Jets players featured in the video are cornerback Nahshon Wright, placekicker Cade York, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, veteran interior defender David Onyemata, and fresh-faced EDGE Joseph Ossai, who, apparently, has a secondary comedy career in the back pocket, should he ever decide to pursue the stage and mic.
Interestingly, head coach Aaron Glenn wasn’t pictured. Rather than fans taking this as a sign that trouble may be in paradise, an alternative theory is more appropriate.
Coming off a troubling 3-14 season, it’s easy to imagine Glenn not keen on the idea of so much screen time. In fact, it was surprising to see Glenn so front and center — when considering these types of behind-the-scenes videos — last season.
As a Bill Parcells disciple who’s eager to cut out as much fluff as possible, it makes complete sense. In his stead was the previously mentioned Banjo and a quick transition clip of new offensive coordinator Frank Reich near the start of the video.
