Travis Kelce has decided to return for one more season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 11-time Pro Bowl tight end shunned retirement for a second straight year in favor of signing a one-year extension with his team.
This also means that his future wife, Taylor Swift, will also be back in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium in 2026. Swift has been a semi-permanent fixture for Chiefs games over the past two seasons, and she is now expected to reprise her role as Kelce’s No. 1 cheerleader once the new campaign begins.

Kelce and Swift are also in the midst of planning their highly anticipated wedding. The couple, however, has kept their affairs private, and there has been no confirmation about when or where the wedding will take place.

Kelce and Swift’s fanbase is as diverse as they come. It’s as if they linked two different worlds when they got together. A testament to this fact is how the couple recently inspired a group of young girls to start their own flag football team.

The NFL shared some photos on Instagram featuring the KC Swifties, a team of first-grade girls who decided to take up flag football after watching the NFL with their dads.
“This is what it’s all about 🫶” the league captioned its post.
The Chiefs caught wind of the news. The team shared its reaction with a two-word comment on the post.
“Love this ❤️” the Chiefs wrote.
The Chiefs have also greatly benefited from Kelce’s relationship with Swift — at least off the field. They were already one of the most famous teams in the NFL before the Swift era, but the team’s popularity reached new heights as the couple’s romance progressed.

Like the fans, the Chiefs are looking forward to getting both Kelce and Swift back for the upcoming NFL season.
