After trading their first-round draft pick to the Miami Dolphins as part of the Jaylen Waddle trade, the Denver Broncos aren’t scheduled to pick in the 2026 NFL draft until late in the second round.
So, who might be on the board at pick No. 62?

In his pre-free agency two-round NFL mock draft, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler projected Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers landing with Denver in the second round. Stowers (6-4, 239 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.59 seconds at the NFL combine. He is a former quarterback with three years of tight end experience.
Stowers totaled 111 receptions for 1,407 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons (25 games) with the Commodores following stints at New Mexico State and Texas A&M. With Evan Engram set to turn 32 this fall and scheduled to hit free agency in 2027, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Broncos begin planning ahead at the position.
Following the Waddle trade, Denver holds seven picks in the 2026 NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
