Simone Biles is ready for a change.

The Olympic gymnast, 29, expressed her excitement to take on a new city after her husband Jonathan Owens signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, March 18.

Biles celebrated her husband and his new contract with a tribute on Instagram.

“Excited to call Indy home this upcoming football season 💙 Beyond proud of you @jowens! Keep defeating the odds, I love you,” Biles wrote of Owens, 30, alongside photos from their trip to Indianapolis.

The first picture is of a smiling Biles affectionately holding onto Owens as they pose together after he signed his new contract. Other photos include shots of the training facility and Owens sitting down for interviews.

The Colts are Owens’ fifth team, and follow two years spent with the Chicago Bears. Before living in the Windy City, Owens played for the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Texans, and it was during his time with Texans that the couple met. Owens, a safety, first signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 as an undrafted free agent, but never played due to injuries.

Biles was able to cheer on her husband for most of his seasons with the Bears, after she finished competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She often shared photos and videos of their outings on social media, in addition to her custom outfits on the sidelines for his home games.

The couple spends most of their time, though, in their custom-built Texas masnion that they moved into in February, three months after announcing the project was completed. At the time, Biles shared images of their new home on her Instagram Stories.

Biles previously shared on her Instagram that the home’s design process first began in 2020, and planning alone took “a year to complete.” After waiting “a while” for approvals from the Homeowners Association (HOA), they were able to finally break ground at the site in February 2022.

After almost three years of construction, the home was finally finished on Nov. 11. At the time, the gold medalist noted on social media that she was “proud” of herself and Owens for creating their dream home together.

Biles and Owens tied the knot in April 2023. The duo first met on the dating app Raya in March 2020, and got engaged in February 2022.
