The Atlanta Falcons didn’t let a lack of salary cap space prevent them from being active over the first two weeks of NFL free agency. The team has moved on from several key veterans, while adding depth and value in their early wave of signings.
The Falcons released high-priced backup Kirk Cousins and signed former top-five pick Tua Tagovailoa to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum. Wide receivers Darnell Mooney and KhaDarel Hodge were also released at the start of free agency.
