With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, a few former Longhorns are drawing a lot of interest. That includes Anthony Hill Jr., who will take a Top 30 visit with the Minnesota Vikings following Texas Pro day next week, according to Cody Carpenter. For a Vikings team in need of a boost on defense, the Texas native could be a very good addition.

During his Longhorns career, Hill was a key piece, recording 249 total tackles in 40 games. He also added seven pass deflections and 17 sacks to his resume. Regardless of the opponent, the Ryan Hill High Alum made life difficult for offensive coordinators while making national headlines.

Due to his play, Hill was named a 2025 Second-Team All-American. He was also a finalist for the 2025 Butkus Award and a semifinalist for the 2025 Chuck Bednarik Award. While the talented linebacker was unable to win any of those awards, the fact that he remained in the running until the very end shows just how good he was against some of the best teams in the nation.

While Minnesota has made its interest clear, it is not the only team in the running. Next week, Hill also has visits set up with the Texans, Cowboys, and Giants in Texas. That list should continue to grow as the draft gets closer and teams finalize their strategy.

Currently, Hill is projected to be a first-round or mid-second-round pick. His ability to apply pressure on quarterbacks and disrupt offenses is why he is considered one of the best linebackers available. Regardless of where he is picked, the Longhorns will be watching closely to see where Hill ends up.

For a team that loves to blitz, Hill could be a perfect fit. He improved each year during his time as a Longhorn and was a difference-maker when healthy.Â
