The Miami Dolphins are perhaps in the worst position in the NFL roster-wise, but with Malik Willis playing QB, the hope is that Miami has at least figured this part out. While the Dolphins are ready to give him an opportunity, some don’t think it’ll go as planned.

Willis has shown signs, but he’s also struggled at other parts. The Dolphins, however, seem rather confident in him, even if others don’t.
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky recently named Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson as someone the Dolphins should consider. His reasoning wasn’t to replace Willis, but to perhaps find an answer if Willis isn’t what they need.
“I think they can get a draft wide receiver that they can build around earlier in the draft,” Orlovsky said. “But it does make me think, because there are two teams that are great places for the Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson. Arizona would be one, and Miami would be another.

“I know they just paid Malik Willis. I know that. But given the timeline, and given just the style of the quarterback with the style of offense that would be in Miami, at least under this regime, it makes me think, even though they signed Malik Willis, they should do their homework and entertain drafting Ty Simpson in Miami.”
Simpson might have a nice NFL career, but paying Willis just to draft Simpson doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Unless the team secretly doesn’t believe in Willis, this would be a rough idea.
