The Atlanta Falcons made their first trade of the Ian Cunningham era on Friday, acquiring safety Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in a complicated pick swap, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brown, a former third-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, has appeared in 42 games (nine starts) over the last three seasons, recording 86 tackles (55 solo), five passes defended, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
So what did the Falcons give up for Brown? According to Schefter, the teams swapped fourth- and sixth-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
“A Falcons-Eagles trade, per ESPN sources: Falcons and Eagles swapped fourth- and sixth-round picks, with Atlanta also acquiring S Sydney Brown,” reported Schefter. “Picks No. 114 and 197 to the Eagles in exchange for picks No. 122, 215 and Sydney Brown.”
