With the 2026 NFL Draft roughly a month away, Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson has emerged as one of the most polarizing prospects.
Tyson showcased his potential at Arizona State from 2024-2025, hauling in 136 passes for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns. The downside, however, is that a hamstring injury has slowed him down over the past year. In fact, it kept him from participating in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Teams interested in Tyson received an unfortunate update this week. According to Dane Brugler of The Athletic, Tyson isn’t expected to work out at Arizona State’s pro day due to his lingering injury.
“There’s a hope that he can maybe run some routes before the draft, but we’ll find out about that as we get closer,” Brugler said. “He’s a guy that has missed a lot of time over his four years in college, and it’s hard to understand how much to factor that in.”
Obviously, all 32 NFL teams would love to see Tyson participate in Arizona State’s pro day. At the very least, that would ease some concerns about him.

What makes this situation so complicated is that Tyson has superstar potential. Brugler compared the prospect’s game to former New England Patriots wideout Stefon Diggs.

Most mock drafts have Tyson going inside the top 10, but NFL fans are no longer convinced he should go that high due to his health.
“I’m sorry but I’m just gonna let someone else draft Jordyn Tyson and I can live with that,” one person wrote on social media..

“Incredible player but he’s gonna have a Will Johnson type fall sadly,” a fan commented.
“If he’s not participating at the pro day I’m officially concerned,” another person said.
“This dude is gonna fall. There’s a reason some people say if you get hurt in college you’re gonna get hurt in the pros. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s more likely,” a social media user added.
It only takes one team to fall in love with Tyson in order for him to come off the board early.

That being said, Tyson’s medical history can’t be ignored. If there are any red flags that come up between now and April 23, that could seriously impact his stock.
