Whether intentional or not, Tom Brady didn’t discuss the Maxx Crosby trade that was nixed by the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaking to reporters after the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on Saturday, Brady was asked a two-part question. The first part about how his role with the Las Vegas Raiders will be different in 2026. The second part was if he had any reaction to the Crosby trade.

“I was very fortunate in my career to be around amazing people and mentors like Robert Kraft, as an owner of a team, and now getting to work with Mark Davis in the role that I’m at, and to see kind of a different team shape, the way that things are done and how we’re evolving and growing, and we certainly have a long ways to go,” Brady said. “And what I learned about football in 23 seasons is, it’s a tremendous amount of resilience, adversity, discipline, determination, communication, of an entire organization to see, really the value in committing to one another.

“So it’s always, I think, process over outcomes, and I think we’re all trying. And all of us in our own role that we have, and the role that we have, and whether it’s an ownership role or a personnel department or strength and conditioning and athletic training and obviously players and positions and offense, defense — everyone’s got to come together,“ he continued. ”Everyone has to work incredibly hard for the people next to them.”

The Raiders and Ravens had a trade in place that would send Crosby to Baltimore, but the Ravens pulled out after a failed physical.

Crosby was caught off guard by the news and began to worry about state of his surgically repaired knee. He talked to Dr. Neal ElAttrache who performed the meniscus surgery in January and reassured Crosby everything was fine.

In fact, ElAttrache said Crosby might even be ahead of schedule in his rehab.

Despite the fallout, Crosby is excited to continue his career with the Raiders.

“I wasn’t supposed to be in Baltimore and that’s it,” he said on his podcast. “You know what I mean? I’m meant to be a Raider. It’s through my damn core. That’s it.

“I’m in this (expletive) for life. Until that changes, which I don’t foresee,” Crosby continued. “Honestly, you never know in this damn league. I found that out for sure. I just feel like I’m meant to be a Raider.”
