KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City’s favorite wolf celebrated another birthday, and thousands of young Chiefs fans showed up to help.
KC Wolf’s Birthday Bash took over Arrowhead Stadium, drawing two sold-out sessions of 1,000 fans each.
“Already seeing so many smiling faces. The energy is high and they’re ready to celebrate big time,” said Jeff Birnbaum, director of partnership marketing with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The event featured carnival games, bounce houses, airbrush tattoos and dancing. KC Wolf made appearances throughout both sessions.

“Die hard Chiefs fans…gotta come out and support KC Wolf,” one attendee said.
Even non-Chiefs fans attended the celebration.
“Everyone’s been super nice, no one said anything mean or anything to us…except KC Wolf. Yeah, he covered our shirts, but that’s OK,” one fan in a Raiders shirt said.
The event focused on engaging young fans and building loyalty to the Chiefs organization.
“This is my first time here,” one young attendee said.

“Fandom is really fostered at a young age. And once you capture that fandom when you’re a kiddo, we’ve seen that that fandom lasts for a lifetime,” Birnbaum said.
The Chiefs partnered with Build-A-Bear for the event, which included a station where children could make miniature wolf plushies. The organization also established a toy drive for Toys for Tots.
KC Wolf first appeared in 1989.

“So I like to think he’s an older millennial like myself, but he’s ageless at heart,” Birnbaum said.
“He shakes his hips like Shakira. I don’t know how he does it,” Birnbaum said.
Fans lined up outside the stadium before the event, similar to tailgating on game days.
“Bringing my grandkids here is something I’ll never forget,” one grandparent said.
