The Minnesota Vikings made a splash in free agency by adding Kyler Murray to the roster. The former Arizona Cardinals quarterback was linked with the NFC North team since the end of the 2025 NFL season. As soon as he became available, the Vikings signed him to a one-year deal.
Additionally, they brought back Carson Wentz to the room. Minnesota should be better with Murray under center, while they decide what to do with J.J. McCarthy. They could add more firepower to the offense soon.

On Saturday, five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins made a pitch to join forces with Kyler Murray in Minnesota. Talking with TMZ Sports, Hopkins offered his services to Kevin O’Connell’s team.
“That’s my boy. Kyler’s like family,” Hopkins said. “I’ll always embrace that journey with him. If Kyler need me he know I’m there, if the Vikings need me they know I’ll be there. Justin Jefferson–the Vikings got one of the best, if not the best receiver in the game. I think Kyler fits in perfect there. He’s one of the best accurate quarterbacks in the game and his stats show that.”

After splitting the 2024 season between the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs, DeAndre Hopkins joined the Baltimore Ravens for the 2025 campaign. He played 17 games with them, recording 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns.
He is past his prime, but Hopkins could make an impact on the Vikings. Perhaps running it back with Murray turns into a solid move for Minnesota.
