Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was still riding high from winning Super Bowl 60, and now he has another reason to celebrate.
On Monday, it was announced that Smith-Njigba and the Seahawks have agreed to a record-setting deal. After signing the blockbuster contract, Smith-Njigba becomes the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history, surprising Cincinnati Bengals superstar Ja’Marr Chase.

The 2023 first-round pick and the Seahawks agreed to a four-year, $168.6M deal. Smith-Njigba gets $120 million in guarantees and a $42.15 million per year.

During the Seahawks’ dominant 29-13 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60, Smith-Njigba hauled in four catches for 27 yards. However, during the regular season, Smith-Njigba led the league with 1,793 receiving yards on 119 catches. He added 10 touchdown receptions.
Along with becoming a Super Bowl champion, Smith-Njigba was named a first-team All-Pro and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
