Football is won in the trenches.
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton is certainly a firm believer in that notion.
Of the team’s 11 position groups, the Broncos have committed the most to the offensive line ($65.68 million) in 2025, according to Spotrac.com. Next up on the list is the defensive line ($48.91 million). If you want to win in the NFL, you have to win up front.

The team’s next-most expensive group on offense after the line is wide receiver ($32.97 million), followed by tight end ($14.22 million), with a large chunk of that total going to Evan Engram. Denver’s quarterback room comes in at $9.42 million, and the team has a cheap running back room ($3.99 million) thanks to multiple rookie contracts.
On defense, next up behind the line is the secondary ($43.10 million), followed by linebacker ($35.93 million). View the team’s full breakdown below.
