Another Carolina Panthers defender from the 2025 campaign is off to a division rival.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, free-agent inside linebacker Christian Rozeboom is expected to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 29-year-old now moves on from Carolina after just one season.

The Panthers signed Rozeboom to a one-year, $3.5 million pact last spring. He’d assume a starting role for the team after the departure of fellow ‘backer Josey Jewell, who stepped away from the game during the summer due to a concussion.

Rozeboom ended up starting in all 16 of his outings for Carolina in 2025—including their wild-card round matchup against his former team, the Los Angeles Rams. He amassed a team-leading 122 tackles, 2.0 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during the regular season.

He’ll join former Panthers defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson, who has landed in Tampa Bay on a one-year deal of his own.
