The NFL draft is one month away, and the Tennessee Titans are winding down their final preparations to ensure another productive haul.
General manager Mike Borgonzi made strides in adding talent in 2025 and drafted some core players who look to take the next step in 2026. Led by quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans appear to be trending in the right direction.
But what Borgonzi does in the 2026 NFL draft could have a more dramatic effect on the Titans’ future, and long-time NFL analyst Pete Prisco of CBS Sports believes he will solidify the defensive front in his first 2026 mock.
Round 1 – Pick 4
Rueben Bain Jr. EDGE – Tennessee Titans
They added some nice pieces to the defense in free agency, so this will give them a nice edge player to finalize their front four.
Bain has become a polarizing figure in draft circles after his arm measurements at the NFL Scouting Combine, which ranked among the shortest in the class for a defensive edge. While his tape is undeniable, these questions could haunt him throughout the rest of the pre-draft process. There is no doubt that all eyes will be on the measurements at his Pro Day to see if they match those from the combine.

The Titans could use Bain upfront next to Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers, although some might argue that his skill set is remarkably similar to Franklin-Myers, and the Titans could use something different. In Prisco’s mock with both Arvell Reese and David Bailey already off the board, Bain would be a home run pick if they decide to go defense.
