Cameron Jordan is now a free agent after spending his career so far with the New Orleans Saints. The 36-year-old just completed his 15th season in the NFL, which is a novelty for a defensive lineman in any era. The former California standout was taken 24th overall by the Saints in 2011 and has flourished in the Big Easy.
Known for his elite production, Jordan has posted four seasons with at least 10 sacks, including 10.5 in the most recent campaign. His durability has been just as impressive, playing in 243 of a possible 245 games, including all 17 last season. To go along with the sack numbers, the defensive lineman totaled 47 total tackles, two forced fumbles and two passes deflected in his 2026 campaign.

Although Jordan has not yet decided on a destination for his 2026 season, the star free agent has been linked to various teams, such as the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears. Another team heavily linked to Jordan in free agency is the Andy Reid-led Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City has been doing all it can to get the team back to championship form after a disappointing 2025 season, finishing 6-11 and No. 3 in the AFC West. The Chiefs have been active in free agency, bringing in Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, re-signing wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, and adding safety Alohi Gilman, formerly of the Chargers and Ravens. On Monday, it was announced that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is officially coming back to Kansas City on a three-year, 54.7 million dollar deal.
Jordan and the Chiefs’ players have been going back and forth with one another so far in free agency, such as when he and defensive lineman Chris Jones teased about uniting in Kansas City. The veteran lineman continued his commentary on the Chiefs and their stars, as Jordan took to social media to celebrate the signing.
“Ohhh Yahhhh Trav!!!” Jordan posted on X.
The comments by Jordan will only add food to the fodder for those speculating his new destination.
