ESPN’s Field Yates posted on X Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is set to meet with the Kansas City Chiefs later this week.

Yates stated that the Chiefs will be the first of many teams to meet with Proctor after his showing at Alabama’s Pro Day, and the Chiefs are in the market for a tackle to protect Patrick Mahomes, a multi-time Super Bowl Champion and NFL MVP.

Proctor had scouts buzzing today as he showcased his movement skills during the on-field drills, and Yates stated that the belief is that Proctor was exceptional. The biggest takeaway is that Proctor made the pads pop in his offensive line drills that were led by Panthers offensive line coach Joe Gilbert. The sound of him hitting the pads echoed throughout the building.

One of the concerns the general public and draft analysts had about the 6-foot-7 352-pound tackle is how he moves at his size, but the reaction from pro day dictates that he exceeded expectations with his freak athleticism.

If he can keep this up and have this translate on gameday, then the idea of him being slid down to guard will vanish. As long as he can pair quickness with his power and size, he’ll be a starting offensive tackle in the NFL.

Proctor spent three seasons as the starting left tackle for the Crimson Tide, and his next chapter is a few weeks away from beginning as the 2026 NFL Draft is fast approaching.

It sounds like Proctor could hear his name called on the first day of the 2026 NFL Draft.
