DRAFT STAGE CONSTRUCTION

The NFL draft is less than a month away, and it’s going to be an exciting time for Pittsburgh. It’s one of the league’s biggest events, and cities that have hosted it have enjoyed significant financial success. The process is starting to ramp up, too.

Reporter Megan Swift shared some pictures on Twitter showing that Pittsburgh’s NFL draft stage is under construction. While it’s still early in the process, it’s an exciting sign of things to come. Hopefully, it’s a success for the city and the Steelers, who have already had a busy offseason.

FORMER STEELERS COACH JOINS OHIO STATE

Jason Brooks was a defensive quality control coach for the Steelers from 2023-2025. He had previously served in a multitude of different roles with the Baltimore Ravens. Unfortunately, like with most of the rest of the Steelers’ staff, he parted ways with them after Mike Tomlin stepped down. However, he’s landed on his feet somewhere else.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported on Twitter that Brooks is joining Ohio State as an analyst. He joins Arthur Smith, who was with the Steelers the last two years and is now Ohio State’s offensive coordinator. It remains to be seen what exact role Brooks will hold with Ohio State, but hopefully, he finds success there.

Ohio State is expected to hire veteran NFL front seven coach Jason Brooks in an analyst capacity, sources tell @CBSSports.

METCALF WORKING OUT

The Steelers’ trade for DK Metcalf last year felt like it would be a big addition for their offense. While Metcalf made some big plays, his first season in Pittsburgh was ultimately underwhelming. His outburst during the Steelers’ game against the Detroit Lions didn’t help things, either.

However, Metcalf is still looking to show that he can be a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver. The team posted a video on Twitter showing him working out. While it’s the offseason and many players are relaxing, Metcalf is keeping himself in top shape. We’ll see if that work helps him perform better this year.
