Brandon Beane was busy again today signing more free agents before the draft. Today he signed two offensive linemen and a wide receiver who was here in 2023.

Trent Sherfield is back with the Bills

You may remember the name Trent Sherfield because he was here in 2023. He’s become a bit of a journeyman receiver. Before playing for the Bills he started his career in Arizona as an undrafted free agent in 2018. From there he moved to San Francisco in 2021. It was Miami in 2022.

After his first stint with the Bills in 2023, he went on to play for Minnesota, Denver, Arizona (second stint) and then was on the Patriots practice squad in January.

He’s also been criticized for having some big drops in critical moments for the Bills.

They also signed two more offensive linemen

Along with Sherfield, Beane also got two offensive linemen signed to provide backup and competition. Both of them can backup at center. They brought guard/center Austin Corbett from the Panthers and Lloyd Cushenberry III from the Titans.

As you can see, Corbett has had 78 career starts and has played at every position on the offensive line. He’s also got a very Josh Allen type of story when it comes to being overlooked for college teams. He wrote an email to one of the assistant football coaches at Nevada saying that he thought he could represent the community and the local kids right and it worked. He joined the team as a walk-on and ended up playing 4 seasons there.
