Chargers

With the offseason in full swing in the NFL, the Chargers front office are continuing to add in talent and acquiring the best available free agents to bring on the loaded roster. The Chargers recently signed Kayode Awosika. Awosuka comes to the LA Chargers after spending the last four seasons with Detroit, playing on an offensive line for one of football’s top offenses.

He is a five-year veteran in the NFL, Awosika signed as an undrafted free agent with Philadelphia in 2021, spending a season with the Eagles before signing with Detroit and playing for the Lions the last four seasons. He has appeared in 50 regular-season games, making 11 starts, while also playing in four postseason contests. Awosika contributed on an offensive line in Detroit over the last four seasons. He also helped blocked for three different 1,000-yard rushers and protected quarterback Jared Goff to throw for 4,000 yards in each season.

Awosika’s arrival means more guard depth. The Chargers struggled in the guard depth of the offensive line last season.
