In his latest three-round 2026 NFL mock draft, PFSN’s Alec Elijah has the Denver Broncos adding another weapon for quarterback Bo Nix following the Jaylen Waddle trade.

Denver traded its first-round pick as part of the Waddle deal, so their first pick in this year’s draft is now set to be No. 62 overall in the second round. Elijah projects Baylor tight end Michael Trigg falling to them at that spot. This is Elijah’s commentary on the selection:

One of Denver’s most glaring needs is adding a dynamic pass catcher at tight end, someone who can help elevate Bo Nix and bring more consistency to the passing game. Baylor’s Michael Trigg fits that vision perfectly and has a strong case to be viewed as the true TE2 in the 2026 class. With his athleticism and ability to create mismatches, Trigg could quickly become a key piece of the Broncos’ offense.

Trigg (6-4, 240 pounds) totaled 80 receptions for 1,089 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons (22 games) with the Bears. Before that, he spent two seasons at Ole Miss and a year at USC.
