The NFL offseason started out with a bang. In a somewhat unprecedented turn of events, the Baltimore Ravens backed out of their trade to get Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, citing concerns about a failed physical.

Crosby got back to Sin City and embraced his return to the team that drafted him. The Raiders had already made big moves before the official start of free agency, and getting him back may have been a blessing in disguise.

That’s why, now that he’s not going anywhere, Crosby can continue spreading his love for Las Vegas. Considering that, he took to X to share some love for the city’s recent breakthrough in sports franchises:

“Greatest City On Earth,” Crosby wrote with a slot machine and diamond emoji.

Las Vegas went from having no pro teams to having five. It was a huge stigma to take, but with pro sports all getting in bed with sportsbooks, it would be a disservice to a major sports market to ignore the evident conflict of interest that comes with having teams in the gambling capital of the world.

As for Crosby and the Raiders, it looks like he’s not going anywhere now. GM John Spytek confirmed their relationship is in a good place, and he has no intention to engage in trade talks again:

“My relationship with Maxx since I’ve gotten here has been great,” Spytek said, per Ari Meirov. “Things have a way of working out the way they’re supposed to. We welcome him like he never left — because he really never did.”

Crosby reportedly never wanted to leave, and the new-look Raiders should give him a better shot at contention. He’s one of the best pass-rushers in the game, and it’s not like the team should be in much of a rush to get rid of him.
