Per a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Detroit Lions free agent DJ Reader took a visit this week to the Baltimore Ravens.

Reader just completed a two-year, $22 million contract with the Lions. In his two seasons with Detroit, Reader played in and started 32 games, totaling 51 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and three sacks.

In 2025, Reader registered 28 tackles. The 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive tackle is a 10-year NFL veteran and has played in 137 regular-season games and started 128. In his career, Reader has totaled 328 tackles, 56 quarterback hits, 27 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.

Originally selected by the Houston Texans in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL draft, Reader spent his first four seasons with the Texans before signing with the Cincinnati Bengals and playing four seasons in The Queen City. Then, Reader spent the past two seasons in Detroit.

During his Cincinnati stint, Reader played three seasons with recent Ravens signee and defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
