The Miami Dolphins are losing several offensive linemen this season, including Cole Stange, James Daniels, Larry Borom, Liam Eichenberg, Kendall Lamm, Daniel Brunskill, Germain Ifedi, Yodny Cajuste and Obinna Eze.

To combat those departures, the Dolphins have signed offensive tackle Charlie Heck and guard Jamaree Salyer in free agency.

According to Over the Cap, Miami gave Salyer a one-year, $1.49 million deal that includes a $1.22 million base salary and a $187,500 signing bonus. His cap hit for the 2026 season will be $1.26 million.

While Salyer is currently projected to start at right guard for the Dolphins this year, but if he doesn’t impress during the offseason, or the Dolphins find better options later on, they could release him and save $1.08 million. In that case they would just have to eat the $187,500 dead cap hit.

Salyer has the starting experience and is in line to lineup between Aaron Brewer and Austin Jackson in 2026. Even if the Dolphins add a starting-caliber guard in the upcoming NFL draft, they may be more willing to replace left guard Jonah Savaiinaea that Salyer.
