A new partnership is giving fans a free ride during the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.Sheetz is teaming up with Pittsburgh Regional Transit to cover the cost of rides on the T and the Monongahela Incline.”Making the light rail and Mon Incline free during draft weekend is about more than saving people money. It’s about making transit simple, easy and welcoming for everyone,” Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato said. “And with service running every 15 minutes on the Blue Line and the Red Line, we are making a clear statement. Pittsburgh is ready.”Organizers say the partnership will make it easier for fans to get around so they can focus on the experience.”Public transit is going to play a critical role in keeping Pittsburgh connected, accessible and moving — both for the hundreds of thousands of visitors we’ll have and for the riders who rely on us every day.
