Though the NFL has shifted its focus to the 2026 NFL Draft, teams continue finalizing the first wave of free agency. Front offices are still conducting due diligence and hosting players in search of new homes.
The Las Vegas Raiders stayed particularly busy during free agency this year, and they do not appear finished adding to their roster ahead of the draft.

Recent reports indicate the Raiders will host former Pro Bowl running back Najee Harris. The former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick entered free agency after his contract with the Chargers expired.

In 2025, Harris suffered a brutal, season-ending injury in Los Angeles, where he was expected to play a key role in a strong backfield.
Harris previously visited the Seattle Seahawks but left without a contract. A Bay Area native, he also shares a close relationship with former Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch.

Growing up, Harris supported the Raiders and reportedly attended games at the Oakland Coliseum. He has even said that, despite the team’s move to Las Vegas, the Raiders will always feel like Oakland to him.

That connection could make the Raiders a strong contender to sign Harris. If healthy, he could pair well with 2025 rookie standout Ashton Jeanty and contribute to the Silver and Black.
Still, any deal must make sense for Harris, and his recovery from a season-ending Achilles injury will remain a key concern for the Raiders.
