Susquehanna Valley High School flag football coach Mike Ford has earned a prestigious honor.
Ford has been named the High School Flag Football Coach of the Week by the New York Giants. The award is presented each week by the NFL franchise.
Ford and the Sabers are off to a strong start with a 2-0 record. SV is expected to be one of the top teams in Section IV this season. Ford was honored with the award due to the Sabers outscoring their opponents 50-0 to start season, which included a win over last year’s state finalist Owego, to go along with his efforts promoting the sport in Section IV.
Ford also serves as head coach of the SV football program.
