There’s a new name to watch when the Houston Texans are on the clock in the 2026 NFL Draft.

According to KPRC 2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, the Texans are expected to have interest in Illinois offensive guard Josh Gesky following his Pro Day out in Champaign. While Gesky is expected to be a Day 3 pick, shoring up the offensive line with young depth seems to be a priority for Houston entering the second stage of the offseason.

Gesky, a two-year starter for the Illini, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.94 seconds in front of scouts earlier this week. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound lineman would have tied for the sixth-fastest at the NFL scouting combine among interior offensive linemen. His 30 bench press reps would have ranked fourth at the combine among all linemen, regardless of side of the field and position.

According to Wilson, Gesky met with the Texans directly after the workout and reviewed his film. Per Wilson, he also has a top 30 visit with the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Texans own eight picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, including four in the top 70 selections.
