The Cleveland Browns have made a number of moves so far in NFL free agency, but not the volume that we are used to seeing from GM Andrew Berry. The very good 2025 NFL draft class, coupled with nine picks in the 2026 NFL draft class, could be one of the reasons for the less activity.
If the team doesn’t believe they are ready to compete for the NFL playoffs in 2026, spending even more in NFL free agency also doesn’t make sense.

The Browns still have a number of players from their 2025 roster on the free agent market, including OL Joel Bitonio (many assume he will retire) and TE David Njoku (who said goodbye to Cleveland and took a visit with an AFC North rival). There may be a few on this list that are brought back by the Browns near the upcoming NFL draft:
OFFENSIVE PLAYERS
RBÂ Trayveon Williams
WRÂ DeAndre Carter
TEÂ David Njoku
CÂ Ethan Pocic
OGÂ Joel Bitonio
OTÂ Jack Conklin
OTÂ Cam Robinson
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS
DTÂ Shelby Harris
LBÂ Jerome Baker
CBÂ Martin Emerson
CBÂ Sam Webb
SÂ Rayshawn Jenkins
Which players would you like to see return to Cleveland this year? In The Feed, one of our readers talked about a possible Emerson return. Anyone else on your list?
