Kirk Cousins faces uncertainty in his NFL career amid his release from the Atlanta Falcons, but he’s still giving back off the field.
Cousins has mostly enjoyed success in his career with a completion rate 66.7% for 44,700 yards and 298 touchdowns. While Cousins’ NFL career is at a crossroads, his confidence in his football career overall isn’t.
Cousins recently announced his annual youth football camp on June 24 and 25 in his hometown of Holland, Michigan. He was born in Barrington, Illinois, and his family moved to Holland during childhood.
“Looking forward to fun few days of football back in Holland,” Cousins wrote in his Instagram announcement on March 26.

Cousins became a prep star at Holland Christian before his collegiate career at Michigan State. The then-Washington Redskins took Cousins with a fourth-round pick, and he emerged as a four-time Pro Bowler with Washington and the Minnesota Vikings before his brief Falcons stint.
“Our football camp is designed to help young men grow in their understanding of the game while helping them to grow in leadership, faith and integrity,” Cousins wrote in a statement. “Competition is a great way to develop perseverance and confidence.”
“Through team activities, drills and scrimmages, we help the campers develop their skills and their character. And we make sure they have fun,” Cousins added.

Cousins was a three-sport athlete at Holland Christian, where he played baseball, basketball, and football. His opportunity at Michigan State arrived when Mark Dantonio became the head coach and offered him a scholarship after missing on other quarterback targets.
Cousins’ opportunity in the NFL arrived when he stepped in for Robert Griffin III due to injury. Strong performances in Washington led to a Pro Bowl appearance and becoming a sought-after free agent in 2018.
Cousins, 37, still has more football left in him, but what team he will play for remains unknown and if he will be a starter or backup. He was benched in 2024 in favor of Michael Penix Jr., and Cousins remained the backup for 2025 but received playing time after Penix’s season-ending injury.
