The Washington Commanders have been big spenders in free agency, mostly on the defensive side of the ball for Dan Quinn.
With a handful of starting-caliber players coming in, that means players will be losing their jobs this offseason.
And one could be 6-time All-Pro linebacker, Bobby Wagner.
With Frankie Luvu and Leo Chenal starting, there doesn’t appear to be room for the veteran stud.
And Dan Quinn’s latest comments might signal that Wagner’s time in the nation’s capital is as good as over.
“We would never shut the door on him,” Quinn said via ESPN. “We do feel like there’s some players that are about to take off at [his] position.”

Wagner out in Washington?
That is certainly what it feels like.
With Luvu and Chenal as the two with whom Quinn is going, they will be the leaders of the defense.
Plus, Quinn stated that some players at Wagner’s position could be about to take off, hinting that younger players are set to step up.
So, you put Luvu, Chenal, and Quinn’s words together, and the picture being painted of Wagner’s time in Washington is an easy one to see.
There isn’t a place for him.
