The New York Jets own the number two overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. At this point it doesn’t seem likely the selection will be a quarterback. So the team will be turning to other positions.
You could make a strong case that the most important non-quarterback position in the NFL is edge rusher. There are a trio of candidates potentially in the mix for the Jets with the number two pick.

At this point if I had to guess, I would say Reese is the most likely pick for the Jets at number two overall.
The Ohio State product has top notch physical tools. There are questions about his lack of experience at edge rusher. Will those tools lead the Jets to pick him? We will find out for sure in just a few weeks.
