The Tennessee Titans have had a busy offseason. From rebuilding their coaching staff to signing and retaining players during the early days of free agency, general manager Mike Borgonzi has made a ton of moves. Obviously, he has help from Chad Brinker and Robert Saleh, and Brian Daboll’s connection to the New York Giants certainly helped. But they haven’t fixed everything yet; they still have needs to fill on their roster, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
With free agency activity now at a trickle, most NFL teams are focused on the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. NFL.com analyst Mike Band released his first mock draft of 2026, and he predicts that the Titans will select Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey.
With Robert Saleh now running the show, Tennessee feels like a prime candidate to prioritize the kind of edge burner who can juice a wide-9 front. Bailey’s 4.50 speed, disruptive production and natural LEO projection make him a strong fit for a Titans defense that still lacks a true No. 1 edge rusher.
Bailey, along with Rueben Bain Jr., has often been projected to land with the Tennessee Titans. With Saleh’s defensive-minded brain and the need for additional help on the edge, both Bailey and Bain would be solid choices for the Titans at No. 4. If they’re both available, as they were in this mock, it’s tough to say which one they will take. Bailey’s size and toughness have been called into question, but Bain’s arm length has been a source of debate as well.

The good thing for the Titans is that no matter who they draft this year, they really can’t lose. Any of the prospects at the top of the draft class will fill a need for the Titans and instantly make the roster better. So, it will be interesting to see what they do next month and which players remain to choose from.
