Hello everyone, I’m Dan Lucy on the Ozarks First digital desk.

And the Kansas City Chiefs were back at work Tuesday.

But it’s a short week, only three days.

Officially it’s phase three of OTA’s which in NFL jargon stands for Organized Team Activities.

And it’s the first of three weeks of voluntary OTA’s.

Reporters will only be allowed to watch some of the practices and talk with selected players on the last day of each week.

For this week that’s Thursday.

The Chiefs did post on social media a number of players arriving at today’s OTA, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and running back Isiah Pacheco.

The players will practice, run 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, but no contact will be allowed.

The Chiefs will practice this week from Tuesday the 27th until Thursday the 29th.

Then next week it’s Monday, June 2nd through Wednesday the fourth.

Then the final voluntary OTA session is June 10th through the 12th.

After that it’s the mandatory minicamp that runs June 17 through the 19th.

There are 19 other NFL teams that started OTA’s Tuesday.

Five more will be begin on Wednesday.

And just fyi the seven teams that have new coaches started their OTA’s last week.

And I’ll see you then.
