The rivalry between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks runs deep. They really don’t like each other, something Jared Verse made very clear recently when he shared his “disdain” for the Rams’ rival.

Apparently, Jaxon Smith-Njigba doesn’t like the Rams’ cornerbacks very much, either.

While attending the UFC Fight Night event over the weekend, Smith-Njigba was asked which cornerback he’d want to get in the octagon with. He said there are a “couple guys” he’d want to fight, but specifically mentioned anyone from the Rams or 49ers.

“Definitely not Devon Witherspoon. He’s a wild guy,” Smith-Njigba said. “You know, there’s a couple guys out there. Anyone from the L.A. Rams or the San Francisco 49ers, you know what I’m saying, I’d happily get in the ring with.”

Smith-Njigba probably doesn’t have anyone specific in mind when picking out the Rams and 49ers, especially considering L.A.’s cornerback group is vastly different now than it was last season. Darious Williams retired, Cobie Durant, Roger McCreary and Derion Kendrick all left in free agency, and so did Ahkello Witherspoon.

Now, Smith-Njigba will have to deal with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson every time he faces the Rams, which is a much tougher test. He shouldn’t want to get in the octagon with either of those tough, physical corners.
